The appearance of IO having ANYthing to do with Google is unfortunate,Yes, it is. In the past, Google Forms didn't insert an account logon link at the top of every form. Now they do. Hoping to get more people to create an account, I guess. As Duane said, it's optional, in case you want to partially fill out the form and come back to complete it before submitting. Such a partially-filled-out form has to be stored somewhere, and the only logical place to do that is in each subscriber's account. Since the pandemic, we've been using Google Forms to conduct our parent organization's annual elections. I now find myself having to explain every year that the our election ballot does NOT require anyone to log in, or even have a Google account, to use it. I'd rather this option appear at the form definition level, so that I can choose whether or not allow it in my form. But, well, that's Google for you. Regards, Bruce |

@Mark, I have done a ton of surveys and happy to help. The thing is that most people set up surveys with confirmation bias.... and the answers... well, confirm what they already thought.

One thing I’m not sure you’ll be able to get from a poll: “at what price hike will you stay but be angry about it?” I started to fill out the survey but can’t really because I don’t make financial decisions for my organization. We are starting to use groups.io in such a way that it will be very hard for us to extricate ourselves and move on if the price goes up - but if it goes up suddenly and enough to piss people off, they will start to look for ways to feel less trapped and may move on in a few years regardless of what price is doing then. I would have preferred to be able to skip questions
and when asked about group-size, being able to give a ballpark-answer. Most of my groups have a few dozen members. groetjes/ĝis, Ronaldo |

Maybe what we need is a survery about the survery. :-)

Kudos to Mark for even running the survey. It's always risky to ask your customer how much they think they should pay you. ;-) Kevin On 12/13/2022 7:47 AM, J_Catlady wrote:
