As I'm typing this, the last message in the Beta group is #1055, but looking at the Archives in message view, the last page says it's showing messages 1001-1007 of 1007.  Having different numbers like that is confusing.

Edit: I was looking with oldest message on top order.  I switched back to the usual newest message on top, and it now says message 1-20 of 1008.  And this is message #1056.  I think I know what's happening.  It's just confusing.
