Moderated Disconcerting message on Direct Add #bug

Mark -- I had someone apply for membership to my group, but I rejected his application because he wasn't a member of our parent organization.

Later, he paid up his membership dues and I added him via Direct Add, only to be confronted by this message:

1 email address was processed.


The following email addresses had errors:

Display Name <abcde@ domain.com>: Already a member (as an alias of abcde@ domain.com)
______________________________

Despite this, the person was indeed added to the group as expected.

I only added this one address. How can an email address be an alias of itself? Maybe he reapplied immediately before I did the Direct Add and I didn't notice he had landed in Pending again? If so, such actions do not appear in the activity log.

Although all is well, I thought I'd bring this to your attention.
