locked Site updates #changelog

Changes to the site this week:

  • NEW: Cancel button when adding/editing wiki page.
  • NEW: Group setting to not permit no email subscriptions.
  • BUGFIX: Fixed an issue where a moderated integration could get stuck in a pending message loop, generating a lot of pending messages.
  • NEW: Profile setting for how many items to display per page (20, 50 or 100).
  • NEW: Added back the Edit button in the Pending Messages page.
  • NEW: When replying to a message, display the subject and permit it to be edited.
  • NEW: When editing a message, if a moderator uses Save Without Sending to edit a message not authored by them, the original author is emailed a copy of the message.
  • BUGFIX: Edit badge is displayed in Messages view for edited messages.
  • BUGFIX: In some circumstances you could join a subgroup without joining the parent group. Now if you directly try to join a subgroup, you're added to the main group as well.
  • BUGFIX: If you try to join a subgroup and your parent group sub is pending, a flash message is now displayed telling you that.
  • NEW: Calendar can now be viewable by the public, similar to how wiki pages can be.
  • CHANGE: If we can't find the file in the Files group, redirect to the Files section, not the group home page.
  • BUGFIX: Moderators who had member change perm but not moderator change perm couldn't edit members.
  • INTERNAL: Upgraded to Go 1.6
  • INTERNAL: Upgraded webserver to HTTP/2.
  • CHANGE: Improved checking for valid email addresses.
  • BUGFIX: Don't fixup charset to cp949, which isn't supported, and check for error in EncodePart().

Have a good weekend, everybody!

Mark

  •  I'm hoping the change in bold does not apply in general, but rather, only to the circumstances of the bug (whatever they were). In particular, I'm hoping (and assuming?) it does not apply to a restricted main group with an unrestricted subgroup. Right?

    Thanks.

Correct. If you try to directly join a subgroup and the main group is restricted, it functions like you only applied to the main group. You are not added to the subgroup.
