moderated Site updates #changelog

Changes to the site this week:

  • CHANGE: We now defang named anchors when cooking HTML. Bootstrap stylizes all anchors, as blue with hover effects. Default HTML doesn't stylize named anchors at all. This meant that emails with named anchors in them would have what appeared to be links in them, but clicking on them did nothing.
  • NEW: Checkbox in group settings to allow photos to be uploaded to the Files section.
  • BUGFIX: On mobile, in the add/edit poll page, the answer text boxes were disabled.
  • CHANGE: Wording improvements to the Max Attachment Size option on subscriptions/default subscriptions.
  • CHANGE: When transferring a Yahoo Group, use the default sub settings for the group.
  • BUGFIX: Transferring files from Yahoo Groups didn't pick up the proper mime types.
  • CHANGE: Ignore 0 byte Files from Yahoo Groups.
  • CHANGE: Event reminder emails now contain the date/time of the event in the subject line.
  • INTERNAL: Developed api test harness for development of iOS/Android app.
  • INTERNAL: Started api documentation.
  • CHANGE: Some copyediting to the advanced subscription preferences, courtesy of J.
  • BUGFIX: Editing pending messages that were only plain text could result in newlines being lost.
  • BUGFIX: Editing messages that were format=flowed would lose that designation.
  • BUGFIX: When editing a message that is Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit, force it to quoted-printable.
  • CHANGE: Remove pagination parameters from message permalinks.

Have a good weekend everybody.

Thank you Mark.  All of your corner rounding and splinter removal smooths the way for our groups making their experience even better than ever.

Yes, if all goes well, in a few months, there will be a real Groups.io app, for both iOS and Android. Also, for enterprise groups, they will have their own, branded app.

Cheers,
Mark
