moderated Yahoo Group Transfers

Hi All,

In addition to members and messages, I can now move photos, files, links and databases when doing the easy transfer process. Just specify you'd like everything moved when you do the final move request. Photos may have to be rotated once they're transferred; unfortunately I don't always get the proper orientation information from Yahoo.

If you have already moved your group over here, but would like these other parts moved now, I can do that as well. Send a message to transfer@groups.io to start that process.

Mark that is great you can do that now. I did it myself already. Good for the new groups coming in. I know I just recommended your place here to a few people who have groups. They will need that done.

HI All,

Unfortunately, I discovered an issue that did not come up during testing. There's a bug in how Yahoo exports databases and the Links section. They don't properly handle quotes. So if any database fields or links have quotes in them, there's a good chance that I won't be able to import those records. There's unfortunately nothing I can do programmatically to handle this. Records that I cannot import will be skipped. Once the import is complete, you can go back and fix up the databases by hand by exporting them from Yahoo and manually editing the CSV files.

Also, because of the holidays, please be patient with transfer requests. I'll try to get to them as soon as I can.
