Currently there are almost 37500 publicly listed groups, and IIRC over 80.000 groups in total. I don't know how much work it will take, nor how feasible it is, but we do need ways to narrow things dow

This is confusing. I do inline quoting (interspersing) all the time when replying to (plain) digests. Click "reply to this message", click the "balloon" to quote... groetjes/ĝis, Ronaldo

Why would you do that? that's supposed to take you to the iogroups-website. If you want to reply from your own email, you click the "reply" of your email and delete the stuff in the digest that you do
