Might you share what "the magic perms" are? I definitely don't know though I'm not a group owner, but I feel certain that there are others who may not who are themselves group owners.

Just as a data point, the "antique" software I mentioned earlier does exactly this. The button is "Preview/Post Message," after pressing this the preview pops up, then you confirm with a "Post" button
