In further testing this to see whether it applies only to moderated members, I uploaded a file as a non-moderated member and in this case, although the "notify members" box was checked, there was no notification message at all. I did this several times and no notification was ever sent, at least within about five minutes of the upload. So to summarize, I'm finding

1 If a moderated member uploads a file and checks the notification box, the notification message goes into pending (and I can't understand why it should); and
2. If a non-moderated member does the same thing, no notification is sent at all.

I've done both of these things several times and both seem to be serious bugs. What am I missing?

The activity log entry reads as follows:
Integration sent message "File Notifications #file-notice" requiring approval because it's a moderated integration message via email

I vaguely remembered an issue here with "moderated integration messages," did a search, and found this thread:

I did not see any conclusion there and I still would classify this behavior as a bug.

(This is a revision to a bug report I sent before but which has not come through yet.)

Group members on moderation who upload a file are able to do that without requiring approval, and that's fine. However, if they check the "notify members" box, the notification message itself goes into pending and requires approval. That seems wrong. The notification comes from the system and is not a message from the member that needs approval.

I am also finding a lack of navigation controls for the Direct Invite screen. I see only the 1st 20 records and no way to get to the rest. True on all groups, all platforms, all browsers.

I noticed this morning that I'm unable to delete revisions from the Wiki pages.  After I click on Delete This Revision, it takes me to the Wiki home page.  When I go back to the page I was trying to delete the revision from, it shows the original number of revisions in the upper right corner.  Click on that and see all of them.

i am not seeing any navigation links for the activity log. i see 20 results, i know there are a lot more. but no way to access via links. 
i checked the returned HTML, see below, but the "next 20" does not display on chrome.

• CHANGE: A pending message from a member who is not confirmed or bouncing can now be approved regardless. Previously it would fail silently.
• BUGFIX: Not all activities associated with a member were being displayed on the member's activity log page.
• CHANGE: When creating a new group and there's an error, remember the privacy setting.
• INTERNAL: Changed how we generate email footers to use quicktemplates.
• BUGFIX: Email footers now have Unfollow hashtag links when appropriate.
• BUGFIX: When viewing a topic on the website with a hashtag that you follow, it would still display a Follow link and not an Unfollow link.
• BUGFIX: When viewing a search page of all topics with a hashtag, it would sometimes not display the correct Follow or Unfollow link.

I'm just giving this a nudge and following up on a current topic on GMF. Can you confirm whether the calendar event summaries should contain 10 or 20 events?  The owners' manual says 20 but since its inception back in June 2019 I have never seen more than 10.

Your suggestion makes a lot of sense and I do hope it will be considered. I am also on the board of our Home Owner Association. Out HOA is not a profit making organization and GIO is the perfect venue to save meeting minutes, bylaws, announce meetings and discuss topics. Having the option to pay for more GB than the free level offers would be quite useful.

You are so correct about the many small organizations worldwide that are in need of a product like GIO. They need more than the basic option but do not need all the services offered in the $20 a month option and the $20 a month, is too high for them.

Mark -- Interesting. I didn't even think to try it as a mere Member.

If a Member does it, it's held as a draft as you mention above. But if a Moderator does it, it's held in moderation (pending) as I originally posted. Seems a little more complicated than necessary, but is certainly acceptable.

This only applies to messages sent via email, as if you try to post a message from the website with a new hashtag, it'll give you an error message right then.

I find Duane's suggestion to be acceptable [read: I'm struggling to come up with anything better]. If too long, replace "saved as a draft" with "held."
