This is beginning to sound more like a discussion for GMF, no? Is there any request for a new feature in this thread?

Linda,
You just solved my issue with the "insert" icon. Thank you!
OK, I give up. I have two issues that I do not understand in this topic.

1. What is this "insert icon" that everyone is talking about? Is this the one labeled "Insert/edit link" or the one labeled "Add Pictures"? I am referring to the labels that come up when I hover my mouse over them.

2. Has anyone managed to cut and paste an image into a message using the online browser interface? It certainly doesn't work for me using Windows 10 and the Chrome browser.

Yes, that broken image icon has raised it's ugly head on me several times here. By using the insert icon function, I'm getting pretty much what I want.

Mark, please reconsider this.

Mark is the site owner (and developer, bug fixer, etc.) and has made his decision.  As was mentioned earlier, you could simply approve each member as they apply, then you wouldn't need any of the other settings for additional filtering.

No one from Groups.io management monitors this group.  If you want to make a suggestion for a change or improvement, you need to join the beta group and post it there, https://beta.groups.io/g/main

Mark,

The price for transfer (Premium for 1 year) is less than a service call on your refrigerator! This is very generous. I want to thanks you.

I also want to say that I am glad that you are changing the focus of your time to benefit those groups that are paying an annual fee. In fact, in reality the groups paying an annual fee, actually allow groups.io give free service to groups that cannot afford a fee.

Bravo! Thanks!

That is correct.

Thanks,

Please don't let this be a thing now. Feature development based on who can beg and plead the most is not a recipe for business success.....

Just a query - so the main group members can now post to subgroups without moderation. If the box is ticked.  But the member would not get replies, correct?  Since I assume you don’t want the person to be part of the subgroup.

Might you share what "the magic perms" are?   I definitely don't know though I'm not a group owner, but I feel certain that there are others who may not who are themselves group owners.

Have you tried starting a new line of centered text and placing the image there?
Then continuing on with left justified text?

This is now a *desperate plea* to allow moderators to edit messages in a locked topic. Not to post in them, necessarily (although I would not object to that either). Just to be able to edit, say, even *one word* of *one message* in a locked topic without moderating the topic so that you can unlock it first so that you can edit the message and then unlocking it. This is a GIANT PITA and it happens at least once a week.

Owners/mods with the right perms can now edit messages in locked topics.

We desperately need for a subgroup to be able to unmoderate addresses in the main group.  This doesn't seem to be unreasonable, but it does not seem to be possible at this time.  We can't have members of the main group joining the subgroup, but they do need to be able to write to the subgroup without moderation.  They cannot have privy to all of the subgroup traffic, just be able to send to it.

Subgroups now have a checkbox 'Allow Parent Subs To Post' that, when checked, will allow parent subscribers who are not members of the subgroup to post to the subgroup without their messages being moderated.

Is there any way to beg and plead for the addition of functionality in Groups.io?  Specifically, that when I click on "Approve and Unmoderate" from a subgroup it will unmoderate an address in the main group?  For the user that would be a much more straightforward solution.

Thanks for everyone's' help and comments.

ps ‘Simple’ streamlining but extremely value-adding.

Also, and does history here bear this out, whether or not anyone agrees with a given request or not when it has no "side effects" isn't relevant, either.

None of the above should be considered as a criticism of you, as that's not the intent.
