• All the panels on this page relate to information that a member receives from Groups.io except the Signature panel which is what a member sends and that is sandwiched between other options. If the Signature panel is moved to the bottom of the page, it keeps those panels that relate to information received together. There is also then a logical connection between the placement of the Signature panel on the page and the Signature on an outgoing message as they're both at the bottom.
• There is now a more obvious relationship between the Email Delivery options and the Message Selection options in the Advanced Preferences so perhaps we don't need an Advanced Preferences at all. Instead, move the options currently in Advanced Preferences into the Email Delivery panel and make it look exactly the same as the Default Subscription Settings panel.

• The length of this page is now greater than it was a while back following the addition of several Moderator Notifications (and hopefully there will be another control for the Sponsorship notifications - reminder hint!). If the different panels were collapsed in the same manner as the Group Settings page, it would make it easier to get an overview of the options that can be updated.

In the case the First Message Also and Auto Follow Replies changes are shown immediately on the screen so you can see the impact of switching between All Messages and Following Only.

That's neat, that means my remaining grey matter is still working OK more or less, with the occasional misfire :)

Speaking of misfires, I realized yesterday that in the proposed version I had missed accounting for "Web-only" users (thanks J).  Adding a "Web Only/Online Only" delivery method to the four existing ones took care of it and which now completes the picture.

Also as was suggested, I went over and made sure "email" vs "message" is used in as much a clear and concise way in the text as I could, plus some other text suggestions and my own OCD tweaks.  The updated proposal is attached. 

I also put down the sub screen story on another graphic, user & usage cases and display/logic/mailing rules, also attached.  With the use case info in there it's also easy to write a "Help me decide" user manual page that puts things in context and further explains and shows how to set up the settings to achieve whatever message filtering the user wants, then have a button/link to it in the sub screen.

Any feedback is appreciated to make sure I didn't miss anything. (again)

Has anyone confirmed whether the trash-the-draft date is based on the first-typed date, or the last-edit date?  (I realize the first-typed date continues to display even after uptrend edits.)

If the former scenario applies I suggest that Mark consider switching to the latter scenario (last-edit date.)

I note that “favoriting” was a feature that Y!Choo introduced (I believe right after the NEO “better idea”) and it was so very useful to keep track of certain oft-used replies to oft-asked questions (copy,paste,edit,paste into a reply to the latest oft-asked question.) Unfortunately for whatever reason Y!Choo discontinued after a short period of time, maybe a few months.

It would be a great addition here.
