In the same vein,

4. Would be nice to download the current members list as a TSV with names and emails.  That's what I really was looking for.

Almost true, Duane: what if someone sends more than 10 or 25MB? Then it bounces.

moderated Sent Invitations list has inconsistent results when sorted

Glenn

Doing a manual migration of a Yahoo group, and trying to track which members have accepted, and so the Sent Invitations, sorted by Status, seemed to be a great way to go.

But there are duplicate entries, and missing entries. The right number of Accepted status entries in total, as compared to the default sorted-by-email list.

So I had to resort to copy/pasting them all to a spreadsheet, and sorting by status there, to get the complete list of Accepted (so far) folks.

1. Would be nice if we could just download the list as a TSV or CSV some spreadsheet format
2. Would be nice if the Status sort produced correct results online.
3. I didn't check the sort-by-Invited list for accuracy, but that column is a misnomer... it starts out as the invited date, but then updates to the Failed or Accepted date: which is useful, but not quite an accurate column name. It seems to really be the "date of last status".

All they have to do is choose Unlimited on their Subscription settings and they'll get whatever someone sends.

Since many email providers limit incoming emails to 10MB and 25MB, it would be nice if groups.io allowed those limits to be selected by the users for their incoming attachment sizes, avoiding the need to click through to the attachment for more of the incoming messages from groups.io.

Better, would be to allow a specific number of MB, rather than just a menu of choices.

Rick,
To test this issue, I started typing the message below and then cut off the wifi after the last word below.
I then terminated the instance of chrome that I was using to type my message online.
I waited 10 seconds and then reconnected the laptop wifi to the access point and
I then opened a new tab in Chrome (I had left Chrome running when I killed the wifi)
I reentered groups.io and selected Beta group.
Then I looked at my top draft of 8 outstanding and it was the message you see below
I selected it and was returned to the exact place where I exited from.

Yahoo never did save drafts when connections dropped out.
Sorry Rick,
I reread your message and realized that it's possible you are operating in an email mode with groups.io.
If this is an email mode issue, it's definitely a software problem at your end.

There is no reason to expect the system to continually poll you once you are disconnected

While I don't understand how turning off the internet to a computer is useful since, in most cases, you have an intervening router or wifi point and connection to the internet, I guess it might be handy around kids.

Having said that, I have found that I can simply sleep my laptop, even in the middle of composing an email and, when I fire it back up, it brings up at the point I left off.  If it was in the middle of  a compose, that's where I resume with no issue.
Possibly, that's a function of the OS and Google's Chrome browser, but anyway, it's seamless.

Also, since you gave no detail on which revision level of Internetoff you are using, nor what OS platform/rev and what browser & rev, I just reviewed Internetoff's website and rev 3.0 is out and it is supposed to fix the issues with Windows 10.

I've noticed that photos viewed online will fill the available screen space (to some extent.)  If I look at the actual photo, it's fine.  The fuzziness (pixelation) shows up when the actual is much smaller than the screen.

I prefer NOT to have an image tag.  There is no good reason for it in my view.  You could just add the group logo to your own posts if it is important to you.

Sorry; we can't. The GMF is a peer - to - peer group of Group Managers, not a Groups.io Managers' Forum.

Photos viewed on the group websites are appearing blurred.  One of my members who is a photographer asked if the upload process is causing a down res of the photos.  It really does seem to be a resolution problem.  Can you fix this please?  Thanks!

This is not a resize problem.  We already took care of that issue and checked various photos added to the albums by transfer, computer uoload and email attachment.   Resizing in albums and emsils is turned off.

Or it will be if you are still online when you begin it.  Yahoo did not save a draft so we lost messages if we left the page.

I think your message would be saved as a draft automatically at Groups.io..

Mark, I realize you are not looking for Android testers, but in the case where you want to have it tested on multiple Android platforms, from phone, tablet and even Android TV, I'm up for it.  Just message me off list and I'd be happy to contribute some testing time here.  Sorry, not an iOS user though.

Lots of OTHER places (on the WEB) let you write a reply to a Group/list message
and then when you hit "Send", the page checks to see if you are still connected
and warns you IF you are not instead of going to a blank page and loosing the reply.

That seems to be part of the sending WEB page, not something I can do anything about
(More about that next...)

I use the InternetOFF program so my computer disconnects every hour or less.
I have to manually check to see if I "timed out" each time I hit send.
The more complex the reply is, the more likely this is to happen...
Others can or will have similar results for entirely different reasons.

I'm guessing this would not be a high priority item, but since it already exists elsewhere,
it might be easy to research and add<?>

Hi All,

The app is nearing version 1.0 and I think it's about ready for some beta testing. The app works on both iOS and Android, but for this testing phase, I'm only looking for people with iOS devices. If you are interested in playing with it and giving feedback, please let me know off-list. Also, it is not currently accessible, but it will be before launch; if you rely on a screen reader, please wait until the app supports it before applying to test.

Thanks,
Mark

Scott,
While Subject Tags can be used to organize messages into separate sub-boxes, it is a simple visual indicator of the group the message is from. I'm not sure why that isn't sufficient for your purpose.

Relative to adding an image, one of my groups has members who are in international locations that have very low and expensive bandwidth. These are on remote islands or in countries with poor (i.e., very slow) Internet access. Adding pictures to each message would not be good for them. While an image tag might be optional, I'm not sure how it would be better than the present Subject Tag.
