Hello, The Hyperledger community uses Groups.io for all of our mailing lists and community managed calendars. We like to use the .ics feeds from groups.io to populate a GCal plugin on our Confluence wiki. We're finding that GCal fails to render all of the events in the feed. I ran our iCal feed through an ics validator and found tons of errors: After checking with the ics standard ( https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5545 ) it seems like the feed rendered by Groups.io is formatted correctly but the dates in the DTSTART and DTEND parameters seem way off (2017 and 2018). I suspect that the errors are what is causing GCal to refuse to render all of our events but there doesn't seem to be a pattern in that GCal doesn't like. I would appreciate any help you can give us because we're facing the prospect of migrating back to GCal if we can't fix this soon. Cheers!

the message sent is different than what the Direct Add dialog says it is going to send.I can see that it's different in that the message in the DA dialog tells a member to use the Email me a link to login button but the actual email contains the link itself which is probably easier for a new member, so that should clarified. Other than that, we seem to be discussing options to amend the DA dialog and message which has been discussed elsewhere before. Andy

Make Admin>Subgroups screen left/right scrollable
#suggestion
Hi,
can the Admin > Subgroups screen be made left/right scrollable? We have 20+ subgroups and the only way I can scroll the display is to set focus on one of the visible checkboxes and then tab to the right. Even when the last checkbox on the row is active, the column heading is not fully visible. Thanks, Andy

Dear allI'm not sure why you think there should be a technical solution, nor even whether one is possible. The way I do it is by insisting on netiquette ( unfortunately http://www.learn.to/quote doesn't work anymore), and by clearly stating in the group-description that "me too"-messages, "thank you"-messages and seasonal greetings are not allowed. groetjes, Ronaldo

I am not technical person so am just here to say I am glad to know that Mark's daughter is doing okay and is recovering from her cold or other kind of flu. Ellen Moody

Mark,
We're glad that your daughter recovered from whatever it was. In Ohio (and some other states), many businesses are closed. You can't get a haircut. Some stores have special early hours only for seniors, which I thought was nice. Our business might have to close for a while but some among us can work from home, at least for now. A friend in Montreal said that they are working with the doors all opened and have a disinfectant team working to keep everything sanitized. In some places it's crazy. It will get worse before it gets better, so all we can do is try to stay as healthy as possible so we can weather this storm. Hi All, Thanks for all the kind wishes. We are doing ok. My daughter has recovered. Because COVID testing is still not available, we don't know what she had, although her friend had strep, so it may have been that. We are doing what we can to carve out pockets of normality in this deeply abnormal time. I hope you all are staying safe. Mark

Thank you Patti, I’ll do as you advise – groups.io is great help, especially in these times. Stay safe and healthy as well.

Hi All,
Just a quick note that, like I'm sure with all of you, my productivity is taking a hit right now. Amongst all the craziness, our kids' school is closed for at least 3 weeks, and we're also dealing one of them having (hopefully only) the flu. Customer support/responses to beta@/development work will all be slowed for the foreseeable future.
Thanks, Mark

And yes, the message sent is different than what the Direct Add dialog says it is going to send. What you see in the Direct Add dialog is not the truth.

Re: Delayed email delivery
#outage
Mark, Just letting you know that something is still awry (which may or may not be related to the glitch). About 10 minutes ago, I ran a test with a test member subscribing via email to a restricted group. The member received and succesfully replied to the confirmation email, but the email delivery history still shows "no email deliveries." That would normally cause me to resend it (not knowing they actually got it). Also, they did not receive the pending member email at all. This is a gmail address. Hopefully this will all iron itself out eventually. I can send you details offlist if you want them, and/or just wait and hope for the best. Thanks.

Re: Delayed email delivery

Hi All, We're through the backlog now and delivery should be more or less back to normal with perhaps some continuing delays for cox.net and comcast customers because we have to strictly limit how many messages we send to those services. Thanks, Mark

FWIW we are now receiving some "subscription approval needed" emails multiple times.

Mark, this is the bug report I was saying you could ignore and delete. I think the whole thing was caused by the system glitch you just reported.
