Code at Admin>Promote does not work reliably
#suggestion
The code snippet for the group Subscribe button found at Admin>Promote (intended to embed in an off-site web page) often fails to work.
If someone is already logged into groups.io, entering their email address and clicking on "Subscribe" takes them to their groups home page at https://groups.io/groups with no explanation as to why they landed there. If the provided email address already has an account, they do land on the Join page, but their subsequent signup fails to work. They are forced to log in and re-find the group home page on their own. Only when the email address does not already have a groups.io account does the signup link work as expected. I do understand the reason for all this. Anyone can enter anyone else's email address in that box and click Subscribe, perhaps multiple times, signing up people that might not really want to join the group. It just seems that it ought to fail more gracefully...perhaps by taking the person to the group home page with a banner notice. I am receptive to other ideas. Thanks for your consideration, Bruce

Allow formatting options on rejected message pop-up panel
#suggestion
Hi Mark,
there are no message formatting options on the pop-up panel where you can type details of why a message is being rejected. It is possible to select a previously defined member notice but any formatting defined when that message was created is lost when it is copied into the rejected message panel. Can we have the same formatting options on the rejected message panel that we have when typing a normal message? Thanks, Andy

Download/export a list of members that includes all subgroups that they belong to
#suggestion
Beth Weld
Currently, in the Main Group in Admin/Subgroups, a list is displayed of all members and the subgroups that they belong to. This is a very powerful tool, and it would be great to be able to download/export that information to better manage members. We have over 25 subgroups and 500+ members, and we are trying to track that information manually which is not really possible.
Thanks Beth

Andy,
That’s absolutely correct. But it doesn’t include past members so a filter have been applied to exclude them. The csv has a membership status field that indicated “bouncing, “pending” etc. I’m sure “past“ could be added.
I’m generally pleased wit the way the group works but subscriber management is cumbersome. It would be really beneficial to be able to sort, filter, etc a group the main member list. Am I the only one interested in such facilities?

Make link at top of digest email more user friendly
#suggestion
Hi Mark,
the text of the top of the Full Digest states: View all your groups.io groups, and edit your subscriptions, here.
This actually takes you to the last home page visited which could be the Feed or Calendar etc. I think it would be more helpful if it actually took you to the groups page as the text suggests it does. Thanks, Andy

The term 'unsubscribe' is used at the bottom of digest emails and I agree with ro-esp that the term has been in use for a long time so is widely understood. I'm not sure changing the button text adds value in this case. Andy

I don’t want to be obtuse here, I did exactly as you suggested. What I got was a csv file for all the current members excluding past members!
That’s why I asked the question!

Not having looked at that field previously I may have been confused here. It could be that only the joined date is displayed and the UTC is NOT the joined time, but rather their time zone setting. Sorry if this is the case.

I still don't see it. Just the joined date and time. Here is a cut and paste of that line from one of our member. I am a co owner by the way.

I noticed a post where the moderator was asking for a sort on the date format. So that;s another instance of the need to be able to sort on the subscriber fields I also noticed that it isn’t possible to download the past members list. That could be useful.

It would also be desirable if it could be included in the Directory, both in the Overview and individual views.
Something else that I noticed in looking at this, is that on the member list display, according to the column heading, what is displayed is date 'Applied' rather than 'Joined' Jeremy
