Oops! Fixed.

Also noticed that if I accidentally try to upload a file with the same name, it acts like it's uploading, but the old one is still there and no error message.

There definitely should be an error message there. It's not a quick fix, so I'll add it to the todo list.

Can I have mine shown (inserted) by default? I almost always want to inline quote for context.

I think it makes sense to just remove that button and have the message quoted in the reply box.

And... I love breaking the rules by not wrapping my plain text message bodies (because that generally works better with other people's email services and with on-line message archives that dynamically word-wrap at the window width); but I don't like that at all for quoted text. So could I have a wrap button that re-wraps paragraphs (blank line separated) and if the paragraph is reply quoted ("> ") inserts the quote marking on each of the wrapped lines. Note, a line with only the quote marking should also be considered a paragraph separator.

So, when quoting a message for reply, you want long lines wrapped? Around what # of characters per line, 78? FWIW, the emails currently generated with long quoted lines not wrapped still look fine (like your paragraph here).

Yes, and that's why I request an (optional!!) autotrim-feature like
some googlegroups have. It simply deletes everything under the last
unindented line, before the message is sent. Ideally (....) the cursor
would be positioned at the start of the first written line UNDER the "
at date and time, userxy@domain.pq sent:"

This is probably more of a luxury, but I've seen it done: reject any
message that has less original content than quoted. Will soon put a stop
to those people who quote the last 46 messages just to say "me too".

I have actually seen this work with some of my posts that are on lists
that are moderated and the owner/moderator forwards the message to the
list members. I do receive such messages in my email even though I sent
the message.

I'd just like a way to limit the amount of unchanged text. Maybe even a
limited number of lines after the latest new text. I'm just trying to
ponder this out.

button, ...

that works similarly to how Y! Groups' button works, to insert the
quoted message in the reply box.

I think the browser Back button probably is the best choice.  That also allows me to open a thread in a new tab, so I haven't really left my previous view.

Changes to the site over the past two days:

• Markdown support rolled out with code syntax highlighting
• Much less strict when generating placeholder messages, to reduce message number jumps
• Fixed the empty reason field in pending message rejection emails
• Changed Archives -> Messages, cleaned up some naming/breadcrumb issues
