App beta testers
Hi All,
The app is nearing version 1.0 and I think it's about ready for some beta testing. The app works on both iOS and Android, but for this testing phase, I'm only looking for people with iOS

Re: Testing new feature request/tracking system
Per a discussion with Shane on the canny site, I have seen that his requested feature is for searchability, not access, of the member directory, and does not already exist. Also, we are in agreement

Scott,
While Subject Tags can be used to organize messages into separate sub-boxes, it is a simple visual indicator of the group the message is from. I'm not sure why that isn't sufficient for your

Thanks for all the comments. As a newbie, every posting expands my knowledge/comprehension of this new Groups adventure.

OK, I overlooked the Subject Tag setting when I checked Admin > Settings before posting.
Not seeing it, I presumed it was set by Group Email Address - all the groups I own use the same for Subject Tag

Actually, the Subject Tag can be anything you want. A lot of groups use the group name or email address, but others don't. The GroupManagersForum uses [GMF] for the Subject Tag.

All five groups use the same Subject Tag?
the Subject Tag for this group is: [beta]
I don't think this is possible as the Subject Tag is determined by the Group Email Address

Wouldn't this exponentially increase the group's usage depending on the size of the group's cover photo? It would seem to me that this would mandate a large increase in server needs and associated

I would suggest you set up mailboxes/folders for each group and message filters to sort your incoming emails. Easy to do

Are they? IME it only takes a brief glance at the "From" address or Subject Line to determine the group from which any given message has come.

Feature request: Cover photo in group message header
As a new owner, I suddenly find myself receiving messages from five groups, which are visually indistinct. I've set some to Daily Summary, which should help. But it would be aesthetically pleasing

There is already the 'Pending Subscription' notice facility mentioned upthread, for asking standard question(s) of applicants. If responded to 'correctly' that will be adequate in most cases - but

Regarding Victoria's request #1: I'd much prefer not to have two rounds of requests for information. I use the auto-reply to ask for all the information I need.
This has been working spectacularly
