No, the user was offered an "Apply for Membership" button, and clicking it should apply for membership.

That seems to have done the trick. Everything appears to be populated this morning on both our Confluence calendar and on my G-cal. I'll ask the community to veryfy thier respective meetings

Hi Kenny,
I've just pushed a fix for an encoding bug in the Organizer line of ICS files. That was causing the files to error out of G-cal. I don't have access to Confluence, so I can't test that.

If the display is too narrow, the Search button disappears. At the same time, the "member boxes" will only be one wide. (I do believe this is a mistake.) As long as the screen is at least 2 boxes
