I use gmail - I signed into the group and found I was bouncing too and there wasn't any reason for it that I could see. One click and I was un bouncing.

It looks like in all cases, the delivery history log shows "the email address does not exist."  But the email addresses do exist, and in fact the bounce probes I subsequently sent are being successfully delivered.

There's been some discussion about them on GMF, https://groups.io/g/GroupManagersForum/topic/78905979  I think they're too little, (way) too late.

Since I still  have a moribund group at Yahoo because the original owner left me as moderatorr w/no owner, I received a  solicitation from forums.group, which  is based in Germany, inviting me to move my group there.
Has anyone else run into this bunch and/or have some intelligence on them?

Hello,

I believe I've found a bug.

The OP of this problem in GMF suggests that reducing the number of concurrent connections might fix it (ref: https://groups.io/g/GroupManagersForum/message/35540 and error code 1300). I don't enough about such things to argue the point one way or the other. :-)

Hope this helps,

Good luck!
Site Down for Maintainance

The SORBS service is currently undergoing maintenance. During this time, web-site and web based IP reputation tools will be unavailable. DNS Query services will remain available during this time, however updates (new listings and delisting) will be delayed until maintenance is complete. Please check back with any inquiries as we are unable to process these during maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience. This maintenance period is expected to last 12-24 hours.

I don't have any data handy to tell you which way to go, but my gut says sticking with Fastmail is the way to go. In my experience, dedicated email services that you pay for are generally more reliable than the ones associated with cable companies. There are so many bad email services out there; I have often pondered launching my own (not free) service.

moderated "Approve and unmoderate sender" button active for hashtag moderated messages from unmoderated senders #bug

Hello

I recently tried out the feature of adding a hashtag that causes replies to become moderated.  I found that when visiting such a pending message on the web, both the "Approve" and "Approve and unmoderate sender" buttons are available, even if the sender is already unmoderated.  This gives fellow-moderators the false impression that the reason why the message is pending is because the member is currently moderated.

moderated Tell the *reason* why a message is moderated #suggestion

Samuel Murrayy

Hello

I recently experimented with a hashtag that would cause replies to become moderated, but when such replies do come in, there is no indication that the reason why the message is moderated is due to a hashtag.  This means that unless all moderators know which hashtags cause messages to become moderated, some eager moderator is bound to approve a message if it complies with the usual requirements for approval (e.g. if the message appears to be on-topic, etc.).  In my use-case, I wanted to prevent unnecessary replies about a certain topic, but the replies are otherwise perfectly on-topic and only moderators who are aware of the hashtag (and watch closely for hashtags) would have realised that the message should have been deleted, not accepted.

So, please, when a message is pending, let there be a notice on the screen (and in the e-mail) telling the moderator WHY the message is pending.

Thanks
Samuel

Sigh. That's for our second email server. Our original email server's been listed since last spring. Email delivery is split evenly between the two machines.

I've tried to get our original email server delisted for many months now, with no luck. The SORBs site is down for maintenance right now, so I can't try to delist the other mail server. I will try to do so once they come back up.

I checked the logs on that machine, and email to Charter/Roadrunner is being successfully delivered (I didn't see any Spectrum activity from the logs I checked). We're not seeing an increase in delivery failures.

It's my opinion that anyone that relies on SORBs will end up with a lot of false positives.

Thanks,

Well now I'm confused. Testing this after the report in GMF I couldn't
reproduce this. Now I can. I'm not sure what accounts for the change.
Malcolm Austen:
I can Shal, possibly, so your observations may be a good clue.

Mark has 'fixed' that line in the javascript file. Now I'm no expert on javascript, and certainly not ion  how it works with objects but I assume that prior to the fix, no errors were being generated. Thus I think it is conceivable that the 'fix' has turned something that only affects some people or groups into something that now affects all people or groups.

As ever though, it's just a maybe.

Malcolm.
I did two things: I changed the group's Def Sub Setting to UTC, and I
created two new events. Changing the group's Def Sub Setting to EST
hasn't corrected the problem, so it seems not to be the issue. At least
not in a direct way.

Possibly the act of creating new events caused something to get lodged
(or dislodged) somewhere that causes my Feed page to now be shown in PST
regardless of my Account's timezone?

I have the same problem when my account time zone is EST: the group's
Upcoming Events list on the Feed page shows them in PST, whereas the
Your Calendar page and the group's Calendar page shows them correctly in
EST.

Another user account with PST timezone sees them in PST in all three places.

Shal
