As I mentioned, this was heavily debated and fought fir years ago, and Mark decided to allow it, I still think that was the right decision, and even Mark takes advantage of the increased convenience.

My own conclusion is that allowing mods to post to locked topics has now created the need or desire for further changes to work around the issues created by the original change. If a locked topic was

Ironically, I had to deal with a situation somewhat skin to Bruce's in one of my groups tonight. This particular group has four mods (including me, the owner) and a couple of them are difficult egos.

My members have reported that they never received an acknowledgment for receipt or a sponsorship on groups.io.
Can you show me what you received? Are you moving the conversation over to GMF? I am new

I would like an acknowledgement notice sent automatically when ever someone sponsors or donates
to a group. I appreciate the the way a notice is automatically sent when someone leaves the group.

If you want to categorise individual topics within a group then you could use hashtags so one topic may have hashtags such as #creationoftheworld and #bigbang, and another might have

An example might as follows:
Creation of the world theories (main topic)

I can understand not giving details away about the filtering process itself. It was the assertion in that post that messages detected as spam will be forwarded to Mods rather than being rejected that

In general I don't talk about our spam filtering, for obvious reasons. I made a change that allowed some additional messages from non-members through the spam filter.
