Mark,
Nope. I've got two email addresses in the group that are on Individual.
I set two up last night, and the results are mixed: I got a reminder notice for one but not the other.

Love the term "read" instead of "like". Or would it be too twee to have "thanks for sharing"?

I tend to use the FB "Like" button as I read this, want you to know I read it, and thanks for posting. Doesn't necessary mean I "like" its content. But I'm sure we all use it differently. I frankly

Unmoderated groups - alerting the list-owner about problem posts
What about a "report comment" or "Flag as inappropriate" button for unmoderated groups? The owner would be notified so he or she could review the post.

As an older user of Facebook, it drives me crazy when I "like" something that is tragic. I "like" the report of the hurricane damage, etc. Wish there were some other term! However it is so well

Hi Judy,
The idea is that you can create a monthly event with a reminder. In the event description, you put your monthly message. The reminder causes it to be emailed to your users.

In keeping with the whole integrations thing, this is definitely on the todo list.

Good idea. There's now a timezone picker in the calendar view, which when changed, sets your profile timezone as well.
Also a good idea, and fixed.

Re: First Impressions of Groups.io
One reason why Facebook groups might be more popular is that people wish to segregate their notifications into Facebook. Some people feel that mailing lists clog up their inbox.

Collapsing of messages
Mark, If you look at your message here: https://groups.io/thread/7557?m=0&o=0, your entire message was collapsed.
I've seen that in a few other messages as well.

Neither the calendar nor the event editor show me the time zone I'm in. I think at least the calendar ought to. The display of the time zone in the calendar may as well be an affordance
