Was it from a btinternet.com address? Under some circumstances btinternet.com strips the +owner part of the address and the message gets sent to the group instead.

Mark, forget about it. I had received a response to a pending member notice in that group ,which normally would just be an owner email, but for some reason it had actually posted it to the group. So

I don't think it's Gmail doing that, as my other account (this main one, Exchange-hosted) also does it, and IIRC from back then, a Yahoo test account also did.

The code looks ok to me. This could be a case of Gmail stripping out the display of the subject tag. Can you look at the one of the original messages and verify that it does not have the group subject

Approve and moderate should not have set then to override: not moderated. Those are different and if they are now “P”, someone had to have inadvertently set that by hand. I think this part of the

This brings up another question. Since the only way those members would be unmoderated on my group would be because I selected "approve and unmoderate" when their first message was
