I created an event with RSVP last night and accepted it as Will Attend to get myself in the count. The message I received titled Your RSVP to the xxx Event contained the original Description

That's exactly what I've been doing on my group.and it worked well. It seems I have a hashtag to update and rejection notice to create in my group and over 20 subgroups - time consuming to say the

Thanks...I was afraid of that. I suppose I can find some way to work around it, but Robert's Rules will be more difficult to enforce without separate controls.

I found that access, and it completed without error.
That would be my guess. Best I can tell, all looks good here. And that's not any XML that we would return.
