The cronjob runs at 12:15am every morning. Also, if there are 25
messages to a group during the day, that'll trigger a digest as well.

I think HTML and plain text should be options, with moderators also
having the ability to adjust the option for the user, as Shal said.

When does the digest go out?
I have a member who wants to send out a surprise birthday notification,
but doesn't want her husband to see it.
I thought I could easily just set him to No Mail, send

I'm a bit torn on that. I'm no fan of HTML in email, but I do recognize the advantages it can have for a digest. So my temptation is to let the user decide. But then there is also Judy's

Yes, but let the default be plain text. I think we're better off having the defaults for settings be the simplest or cleanest option so new members aren't overwhelmed.

Sorry Shal, it is everything except messages, but the example still remains the same. It is still hard to determine a problem if there are so many things that the member can change and then a lot of

They do? The closest thing I know of to that is the Updates email. It tells you about activity in any of your groups today, but it excludes messages and calendar

A BIG help here is that an owner (or moderator with permissions) can see (and change) how a members email options are set. That should make it much easier to assist someone having

I don't think it should be an option. Things are getting to the point that everything is an option and if we owners/moderators are trying to help someone and can't seem to figure out the problem,

In single messages I don't have to scroll past the trailing quotes, I
just move on to the next message. So there's no benefit to justify the
risk that the automation might erroneously delete
