Ok, it is clear now. I admit i did not thoroughly look for option description as I assumed that it limits size of incoming messages not outgoing.
I am very surprised to hear that. I have posted

Right. That’s what I had in mind in thinking ‘attachments.’ You and Bruce are correct.

Photo attachments can be limited by resampling. Go to Settings > Photos > Max Size In Email and set to "Automatically resize photos that are larger than a specific size in emails." There is an option

This is not a bug. You may be misunderstanding the settings available. Take this to Group Manager's Forum https://groups.io/g/GroupManagersForum and we can discuss it there.

I vote for stripping - or at least having an option. I do not want "stuff" like that cluttering my groups - or having it waste my data allowance.
Thanks

Have you set Sender Policy Framework (SPF) for your mail domain?
Groups.io should follow that.

The member setting limits the size of attachments they want to receive. The group setting limits the size of attachments they can send.

I had similar issue tonight. One user sent entire photo album to the list and each reply to his message contained the same images.
I am not quite sure how that happened.

The thing is no one is actually putting anything in the CC field.
It is doing it automatically.

Mail is coming in duplicated - TO and then CC
I don't know why it is now happening with all mail that is sent through groups IO.
The email address is put by the member in the TO field but it is also showing up in the CC field.
