In the last sentence I would change "And they know" to "The email also lets them know".
I'd also shorten the link text in the left column to "Removed because of Spam". It is the longest text,

The point is - your group's home page can be accessed as <groupname>.groups.io instead of groups.io/g/<groupname> which is simpler (no "/"s in the URL, eg there is no path following the host/domain

A third option might be that they have sight problems and have to set their font to a large size to see what they have typed.

Go to Subscription>Notifications and make sure "Email when a member joins/leaves this group" is checked.

I would like to see one more option: Disable hashtags.
When selected, "#anything" would be treated as plain text. Also when selected, as with other options like Directory, the #Hashtags tab would not

Re-reading her message more closely, on top of everything it actually seems like this is a bug. She apparently(?) corrected her message to have an allowed hashtag, but that didn't work. She was told

One correction: my group is now on moderation (due to a troll), so it's correct that her message, once corrected, would have been moderated and needed to be "released." However, I received no notice
