  • CHANGE: For pending subscribers, always display the 'Your subscription is pending' message, even when viewing public group pages.

Cheers, Mark

Ugh. Calendars are hard. Sorry about that. Fixed.

Hmm. I'm unable to reproduce this. Can you send me some more details off-list? Like the specific steps to recreate it.

Thanks!

locked Site Updates #changelog

Changes to the site the last couple days:

  • BUGFIX: Activity log incorrectly stated that deleted pending messages were rejected.
  • NEW: Sorting is remembered when viewing pending messages. Also, after approving/rejecting/deleting a pending message, we automatically go to the next pending message.
  • SYSADMIN: Re-worked the source tree to conform to new Go 1.5 vendor scheme.

Have a good weekend!

Beta Integration <beta+integration@...>

[Beta] New card "With subjects that end up with multiple 'Re:' in then, consider stripping the extra Re:s" was added to list "Messages and Archives".

[Beta] The blue label "Messages & Archives" was added to the card "With subjects that end up with multiple 'Re:' in then, consider stripping the extra Re:s".

[Beta] New comment on card "With subjects that end up with multiple 'Re:' in then, consider stripping the extra Re:s" by Mark Fletcher:

This may screw up threading however, if the original message had a subject that contained a Re:, like 'Re: Hello'. I will need to investigate more.

Good catch. Fixed for deleted pending messages going forward.

Thanks,

Sorry about that. The documentation for the Facebook API is lacking. I've done a bunch more digging and we'll now include a photo, if there is one.

Also, the headline link back to the original post is missing.  Is that an
omission in the FB feed?

I've also fixed up subjects.

You should see these changes the next time the crawler runs, at 35 past the hour.

Thanks,
Mark

The way things are nowadays, many people post *only* a picture, so the
intergration is bringing back a blank message (just the header), without
the picture.

Also, the headline link back to the original post is missing. Is that an
omission in the FB feed?

Mark,

Is it acceptable to be signed into Groups.io in two separate browsers at the same time?

If this is not an okay practice, I want to alert you that I am currently trying to move several groups.io bookmarks from Firefox to Opera and have had to be signing in and out or etc. to make it work. So if I am accidentally signed into groups.io in two browsers and it's not okay, please understand that I'm not trying to be, and I won't be signed into both for long.

But first I just need to know if it's allowed to be signed in to two browsers to groups.io

Thanks,

Brenda

Changes to the site today:

  • BUGFIX: For groups that delete messages, that could cause digests to be sent with fewer than 25 messages during the day. Fixed.
  • BUGFIX: Only display pending subscriber counts for moderators that have permission to approve/reject subs.
  • BUGFIX: After taking an action on a pending member, return to the pending members page.
  • SYSADMIN: Upgraded compiler to Go 1.5.
  • MISC: More internal logging for tracking down spam rejections.
  • SYSADMIN: When sending email, connect only using ipv4, not ipv6, until we can get AAAA DNS records. Should fix Comcast rejection issues.
  • SYSADMIN: Renewed our HTTPS SSL certificate and changed it from SHA1 to SHA2 for added security.

The upgraded SSL certificate is not compatible with some very old browsers. I don't think this should affect anyone, but if you hear of any problems your members have with connecting to the web site, please have them contact support.

Cheers, Mark
