It's always been that way, so this would be a suggestion (that's been requested before, I think) instead of a #bug.

On the downloaded list, just sort on the User Status column, then copy all the 3's (bouncing) and/or 4's (bounced) to another sheet.  Same result.  I find it handier to have the entire membership in one file so I can find whatever I need.

I  wanted  to  review our Bouncing members en mass prior to removing all 800 of them.
So I went to Admin/Members/Bouncing and ran opened up the entire bouncing list,
Downloaded it into an excel file for initial massaging.I
Since what I wanted was just the Bouncers and on the Bounced.
Members list all one sees is Bouncing Members,
I figured that selecting all and downloading them would get just Bounced Members

Guess what?   You get the complete list of all members of any status; active, bouncing, banned.
Not sure about Past members.

Could we please have Download functions to provide exactly the list we wish to access?

Hello,

Please try it now. I've replaced the async/await code at least for now.

Thanks,

I think this is a great idea and was actually wishing for something like that last night. As a group owner, I would also like to be able to include member pages in my searches, such as for another disease besides the one my group deals with (for example, to find all the cats who also have diabetes).

As a group member in a groups.io group, I would like to be able to search for content stored in any feature area of my group with a single search. This would save time and make the content more accessible.

For example, perhaps I am interested in Local Food , and there are many Message threads on the topic, plus a database of Local Food Establishments, special events entered in the Calendar and many photos of these places in the Photos section. I would love to be able to kick off a single search that would turn up all of this content.

Please tell me it already exists.

In Palemoon 27.9.4 it says:
Is async/await supported? NO

In newer Firefox it says YES.
My Palemoon may be not the only browser not supporting this GoogleChrome-takeover feature.
Groups.io web-interface worked without it until few days ago.

Assuming that you do not allow non - members to post do his failed attempts show up in your Activity Log?

Chris

We do not permit non-members to post and I only see his successful attempt.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but this was a reply to a previous message on the list.

This is recently introduced Mark.

When I go to look at pending messages I see "NaN checked" instead of "0 checked".

I also find that with nothing checked, I can still click on some buttons (instead of getting the no-entry on hover I'm getting a hand pointer), and get a verification request, for example, of "Are you sure you wish to delete these NaN messages ..."

My guess is that the latter is caused by the former in that NaN is not zero!

Malcolm.

Duane,
I remember that last issue (since I brought it up;) and it was a different bug, although somewhat related. Back then, you could not successfully get a sort by a chosen criterion *at all* if you entered a search term. It always reverted to a sort “By Name.” In this bug now (and I do agree that it’s a bug), it does a sort by Newest *first*, and after that you csn select a different sort criterion. The problem now is that it defaults (jumps) to Newest and then you csn pick what you want. Before, it jumped to “By Name” and continued to do that even if you selected a different sort criterion after doing the search. The original bug was much worse.

I think this may actually be a bug that sneaked in.  I may be misremembering, but it seems like this worked correctly when Mark "revamped the groups search page" back in November, https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/26972

Even though on the "Find a Group" page "Most Popular" is at the top left followed by "Most Active," with "Newest" third in the list, when you actually do a search it defaults to sorting by Newest every time. This happens no matter which is highlighted at the time of the search. You can have "Most Active" highlighted, for example, and the search still jumps to and sorts by "Newest." You can get a sort by anything only *after* the search has completed with sort on Newest.

This seems weird, especially since Newest is third in the list. I suggest that the sort order be whatever is highlighted at the time of the search. The default for that is currently the top one, which is Most Popular. But if the user selects something else before doing the search, I see no reason why it should jump back to Newest every time rather than sort by whatever they selected.

Possibly it would help if you simply did a mouse over without clicking and then recorded what's the link is in several of the buttons so that Mark could see what wasn't working or what was what
