Deleting photos from a photo album does the same thing...the photos in the album are renumbered, but the thumbnails served from the browser cache are not. I've gotten into the habit of doing a Ctrl-F5 whenever something doesn't "look right," but I suspect many others have yet to learn that trick. If the reload can be forced from the server side under such circumstances that would be a good thing (yes, I know it's been asked for before). Regards, Bruce

Thank you, Mark!
The only final issue I have is that If one is looking for the number of hits, besides all of the actual hits, They must issue the search twice, with an interveng change in their Profile preferences, Once for the quantity and once for getting the full list if it's long. In this case it runs into the hundreds of Topics because he is a top dog specialist with an international practice. -- Bob Bellizzi

Instead, the partically edited (by me) version of it was included. This could be extremely confusing to the member and I think this is a mistake. I've made this change. Cheers, Mark

Approve and moderate should not have set then to override: not moderated. Those are different and if they are now “P”, someone had to have inadvertently set that by hand. I think this part of the system is very robust and thoroughly tested and very unlikely to be buggy. Although anything is possible. 😊

Nobody can post to a locked topic as long as you have not also deleted the topic. If you deleted it, people may be able to reply via the emails that are still on their inbox.

This brings up another question. Since the only
way those members would be unmoderated on my group would be
because I selected "approve and unmoderate" when their first
message was posted way back when. Are you saying that by
selecting that rather than approve then it overrides the topic
setting? Last night I also locked the topic. Is that going to
stop posts to that topic or will these same 2 (and maybe others)
be able to post to it anyway?

Mark,
This is in a search of the message archives for a recurrence of " Jun" which is a name. However, I have my account preferences set to infinite scroll and while just rechecking, found that ALL of my searches limit to 20 results. I have my name in my signature and I'm most likely the most prolific poster in the group and every post has my full name in it as it shows in my signature below. But I quote it in my search I also just tried my name as below without quotes and it only gives 20 results. ??? -- Bob Bellizzi

Minor display bug in SEARCH-Members screens when editing a member
#bug
Hi Mark,
Here's a minor display bug. When one is in the Admin-Members screen and enters a search term and go into "Search" mode, after they select a member and edit their membership settings, the member list contents won't refresh when they are returned back to the search results member list, so it still shows the previous member attributes before editing. (DisplayName, EmailAddy, DeliveryMethod) F5-refreshing the page refreshes the list contents and they now agree with the changes. Not doing so, and continuing to (test-) edit that member (thinking one must have not made the change, so go back to check/redo it), results in a "one-page behind in display results" scenario, where the underlying code correctly does its thing, but the list display code seems to display the next to the last changes. I tested this under Members-(regular) and Members-Mods, but I suspect the same also happens in the rest (Bouncing, Pending, etc), when there is a search term entered; it does not happen when there is no search term entered, it correctly refreshes the list contents in that case. Not a biggie but it can be somewhat confusing/bewildering if one is not paying full attention and can result in unnecessary time & mouse clicks to figure out what just happened. Cheers, Christos

Sorry, just seeing Duane's post now. I am on "following only" and was not following so did not see his post until I myself posted.

If those members are set to “P” (“Override: not moderated”) they can post without approval to any topic, even moderated ones. Might want to check their posting status.

#BUG moderated topic not moderated for some users
#bug
Jim Pruitt
Today I had a topic get heated and out of hand.
I ended up banning one member and still decided on a second
member. To let things cool down I set the topic to moderated. 2
messages came in for moderation in the next 2 hours but 4 hours
later 2 other messages were posted without moderation. I can't
understand why but suspect that because the 2 users that got their
message posted without moderation after the topic had been set to
moderated were 2 that had posted to the topic before it became
moderated.
This seems like a major bug to me. If a moderator sets a topic to moderated there should be no messages get posted without going through moderator approval. Thank you. Jim

Re: Changes to new basic groups #updates ; Donation support for free tier

Robin made some really good points. As our renewal comes up I have to manually solicit donations (angels) from members, pay groups with my credit card, and then get small reimbursements. The reason that I don't use your DONATIONS option is that our community uses Pay Pal. It would be so much easier if you added Pay Pal.

Bruce, I should have mentioned this, but didn't realize that's how the search worked or if I did, I didn't remember
We require an email address in every ad along with the member's first name (on separate lines) . This appears at the end of the message. This issue isn't something that just occurred, but did happen once before and then things started working until now. Thank you, Judy F. SW Florida - USA
