Oh, forgive me, you said "sorting," and you're referring to the listing order, not the list itself. I'll check it again.

My activity-log search dropdown is working fine.
What do you mean by "when I select +owner from the drop down menu"? Which dropdown are you seeing that in? I don't see any such search criterion. -- J Messages are the sole opinion of the author, especially the fishy ones.

Seems like, from what I could tell, is that you need to have something in the search box for the actions drop down menu to take effect. Maybe it's not a bug, but something that could be formatted to work differently.

When viewing the activity log I select various sorting options from the drop down menu but the listing does not change.
It shows all activity when first opened but when I select +owner from the drop down menu it still shows all activity. Mick

In my recent testing, I did not look at options for bringing guests. I've just tried this though and see that it keeps count towards the limit of individuals attending (rather than families). Combing the number of guests with the option to request additional information by the organiser (e.g. how many of your guests are children?) would allow flexibility without overly complicating the system. The HR tag is not working for me when I am viewing a thread. Could this be visible? It would help screen magnifier users too if it were visible to everyone. But when I go into a thread, the HR tag is not showing up between messages in the thread, running NVDA and FireFox.

Changing a non-mod's posting status logged as "changed moderator permissions"
#bug
Summary: changing a non-moderator member's posting status resulted in an extra group activity log entry that his "moderator privileges" were changed.
Details: I changed a non-moderator member's posting status to "overrride - moderated" in a non-moderated group. Two activity log entries were created, one of them correct ("changed xyz's posting status") but the other incorrect ("changed xyz's moderator privileges"). Also, neither action was recorded in the member's activity log. -- J Messages are the sole opinion of the author, especially the fishy ones.

Folder Notification - Add full path

My group has lots of documents spanning years. I try to manage that in the Files section by creating folders that contain folders that contain folders.
The file notification shows the full path of where the file is uploaded, but the new folder added notification doesn't. It would be very helpful if all folder notifications contained the full path so that we can easily find them. Thanks Beth

This would help the vast majority to be able to contact a fellow member and assist in keeping the Directory up to speed.

I second this. I'd personally opt for the HTML tag, myself. If the messages are going to have headings between them, I feel it would take too long to navigate, navigating by heading. Unless each heading is a heading level 2, and the body is not part of that heading. The subject could be heading 2. I still like the HTML tag more though. Write to support@groups.io as well. I suggested this change a while back, but not the HTML tag.

Message separator to improve orientation using a screen-reader

Jan Hegr (OK1TE)
Hello,
although the service is pretty accessible for the blind, thank you, I'd really appreciate some separator between messages when I view a post thread to be able to quickly skip from a message to another using a screen-reader. This could be achieved either by <hr> HTML tag or treat the start of the message as a heading. I believe both approaches can be styled not to break current visual design, but it would help a lot the blind users to navigate the post threads. Thank you very much, Jan

While I understand the suggestion, it could lead to even more requests for further differentiation, viz: the age line for "kids", younger than 16 or through 16, the gender claimed or other personal selective identity. This could even vary depending on the geography, the family or any one of several factors.
And, what about "almost adults". In many families there is a period where that classification is used at mixed parties of gatherings wheree they might be allowed a wine fizz, under supervision. (Italian Immigrant families often allow middle teend a little wine with a lot of soda pop during family get togethers It seems to me that these classifications should be handled outside the RSVP via email or message to the responsible person. -- Bob Bellizzi

Why not ask members to specify two numbers: 1. Number of kids attending 2. Number of other family member attending. Mahendra Bakshi.
