Yes, they were actually removed, but still showed on the search results page.  Could have easily been a timing glitch.  I wouldn't object if the Remove action took me back to the full Members page, but I'm not sure how others would feel about that.

Thank you,

I found when I tried to remove members it took two tries to get them off of the membership list.
The first time I selected them they remained on the list.
It wasn't until I did it the 2nd time that they were removed.
I did write to support about it but just got the canned email response.

When you did the first remove, of the two people, did that actually remove the members from the group? I'm wondering if it was a delay of the action propagating to the search cluster.

Thanks,

Did you create the test group as a free premium group trial? That would explain it (I can't seem to duplicate it on my end).

I would rather have the map or list mode selectable at two levels.
The owner should be able to configure the map as optional or unavailable as part of the DB design.

This is on the TODO list.

And scrolling the DB in Map Mode needs the column titles to be fixed so they don't disappear.

Also on the TODO list. I tried a few things, but was unable to get it working. I need to spend more time with the Javascript to figure it out. It is not an easy or quick fix.

Thanks,

I’m suggesting only the full range of tools that are available under posting msgs (is that “post” or “message” ....I get so confused) and wiki pages. The end of my subject (or it it “Topic”?) where I specified that got clipped off.

I dint realize there was a character limit - no warning (hmmmm.... a bug?)

Sorry to burst your photoshop bubble. I’m just saying, just the minimum available elsewhere - would be nice to have cropping. Shouldn’t seem a big deal?

The owner should be able to configure the map as optional or unavailable as part of the DB design.
If designed as configurable, the user should be able to select map or no map when using the DB.

Finally, I think the DB Map should be a  Premium/Enterprise feature.
And scrolling the DB in Map Mode needs the column titles to be fixed so they don't disappear.

This would make the DB is almost usable.

It applies regardless of the email service. It replaces the Message-Id header with a new one that we generate (we rename the original Message-Id header to X-Orig-Message-Id).

Hope this helps.

Ken,

Add the full range of photo editing tools to the Photos albums "photo
edit"
"the full range" is a pretty broad request (Photoshop? Gimp? Lightroom?). Care to suggest some priority items?

Topping my list would be in place down-resolution (pixel resolution change via resampling) and quality reduction (change to compression parameters and/or algorithm). Those two for the purpose of reducing storage consumption.

Crop would be a close third, maybe including rotation.

Annotation: "...pictures with circles and arrows and [some notes] on the [front] of each one explaining what each one was, ..." would probably be my next choice over more traditional photo tools such as exposure adjustment, color adjustment, etc.

Mark -- Thanks as always for hearing us rolling back the change.

It is something of an annoyance to have to unlock the topic before the associated poll can be closed. If these two actions could be made even more independent of each other, that would be seen as an improvement on my end.

Bruce

I wish this had been announced when it happened.  I've had my #poll-notice hashtags set to lock immediately to prevent replies being posted, as well as to keep folks from trying to 'vote' via email, and didn't realize folks couldn't vote any more.  I've changed them all to moderated and removed the lock setting.  Now to set up a Rejected Message notice that explains they can't vote using reply.

I wasn't aware that people were depending on this behavior; I would have announced it if I was aware. And actually, I've talked with the enterprise group that requested this and they've come up with a different solution, so I have rolled back this change. Sorry about that.

Thanks,

I think what I need to do for that is to use the DMARC logic for re-writing From lines, since these messages come from the event organizer. I will do that next week.

That's exactly what I've been doing on my group.and it worked well.  It seems I have a hashtag to update and rejection notice to create in my group and over 20 subgroups - time consuming to say the least!

Thanks...I was afraid of that. I suppose I can find some way to work around it, but Robert's Rules will be more difficult to enforce without separate controls.

I'm pretty sure that's it.  I had 2 polls open with the hashtag set to lock immediately. Voting had occurred as normal over the last 3 weeks.  When I went to check on them after seeing this, there was no way to vote (only see who responded), so they were apparently closed.  I say 'apparently', because if I chose to Edit Poll, I still had the option of Close Poll, though I couldn't vote.  After I used the Close Poll button, it changed to Reopen Poll.

Mark -- I've lately been routinely locking poll topics per a recommendation from Duane. This is to discourage members from "voting by email."

What happens if I instead set the #poll-notice hashtag to locked? Will no one ever be able to vote?

Generally, please help me understand the use case for this change.
