"Reset Invitation" does not strike me as a correct label for a navigation button, no matter what part of speech it might be.

After reading your comment about nouns and verbs, etc I read the Official Owners' Manual chapter on Inviting.Why should buttons, etc not be clearly and intuitively labeled? When in doubt, it really is a good idea to Read the Manual which is a quite new feature but very well done.Apparently there was no doubt as the button label appear to mean 'click to Invite', not 'click to Clear Form'... Should we doubt everything, and always have to Read the Manual before doing anything every time? Also why should a "Clear Form" button be labeled "Invite" and placed near the top of the page? It's far better than the terrible engineering gobbeldegook of Chrome or Microsoft Help.That's good to hear that is 'far better than', but still not a reason to mislabel buttons, etc. This sounds like a more diplomatic way to say 'not as bad as'. ;-}

After reading your comment about nouns and verbs, etc I read the Official Owners' Manual chapter on Inviting.
It is extremely clear about which button performs which function, regardless of whether it is an a djective, conjunction or whatever. When in doubt, it really is a good idea to Read the Manual which is a quite new feature but very well done. Invite button clears the form
#bug
#suggestion
After an admin selects Invite on the left, there are two buttons at the top (serving as tabs) Invite and Sent Invitations.
On other pages, the buttons are all nouns. Invite is a verb and implies that it might do the same thing as the Send Invitation button at the bottom does. As a first-time user of the invitation function, I was misled by that button and pressed it after first pasting in a list of email addresses at the bottom and then customizing the outgoing message. The Send Invitation button was offscreen. This resulted in refreshing the screen and losing the typed in customization. At first I assumed the message went out, but it wasn't. Even after looking at the documentation, in my mind Invite would do the same thing as Send Invitation. I would consider this a User Interface bug. Possible ways to fix: - Hide the button and only show it in the Sent Invitations page. - Rename it to Reset Invitation (because as a verb, that's what it actually does) - Rename it to Send Invitation and make it do the same as the bottom button.

Event: Database loadbalancer failure #outage - Thursday, 23 July 2020
#outage
#cal-invite
main@beta.groups.io Calendar <main@...>
Database loadbalancer failure #outage When: Description: The site was down for approximately 4 minutes because the machine instance hosting a pgbouncer service froze up, limiting access to our main database. Rebooting the machine fixed the problem. Running multiple pgbouncer instances would prevent this in the future, although this is a rarely occurring issue.

I've had problems with AT&T for years but ISP choices are non-existent. In case you didn't know, AT&T farms out it's mail servers to Yahoo (at least on the west coast). If you have a contact for yahoo you could try there. If you haven't already made contact, some customer tech support numbers are: 877-353-5963 (U-Verse), 888-341-1270 (DSL) & 888-341-1270 (general) These, of course, are only tier one support (possibly to India), and you will have to escalate the call to get someone who actually knows what is going on and can do something about it. But hope is eternal! One other option is their chat line which may be quicker (Chat button on bottom right): https://www.att.com/support/topic/u-verse-high-speed-internet/topic_uverseinternetsuppor/ Namaste', Art

Event RSVP changes
#update
Hi All, I've just pushed the following changes/improvements to our event RSVP system:
The RSVP management stuff is pretty complex and I made a lot of changes. I've tested everything, but please let me know if you see anything fishy. Or if you have suggestions. (Reminder that the RSVP functionality is available to premium groups and free groups that were grandfathered in). Thanks, Mark

Filter database column
#suggestion
I know we can click on a database column header to sort the information. However there's no option to filter a column to display specific data (within the site---I wanted to avoid download and manipulate in Excel).
Is that something that R&D can consider implementing (much like Excel allows filters). Thanks, Effie

Re: Add back Active checkbox to Invite and Direct Add member notices

Beth Weld
This change somehow slipped by me - we really need the direct add custom message to be automatically included when adding members. Our new members need the information at that point, and I'm puzzled why this "active" option was removed. Please restore it.
Thanks Beth Weld
