There still seems to be a difference in the content and style of message issued for an folder upload and delete.  For a folder upload, it lists the individual files and the number of them is specified in the message subject:





For a folder delete though, the files within the folder are not listed and it suggests the folder being deleted is an individual file:




If the individual files can be listed on a folder upload, is there a reason why they cannot be listed on a folder delete?

Waiting for a response to #25718 to view the #file-notice message when a folder is added.

Yes, I manually created the #file-notice hashtag to start with and set it to be moderated.  There are no pending messages after uploading so nothing to approve and release to the archive (so consequently no email sent so nothing can end up in a spam folder).

It all works fine when deleting the folder, just not when uploading.

If the former, it would be worth checking that you haven't got an "anomalous setting", although I cannot see one that would stop the group posting, other than to have that hashtag on moderation. Perhaps check your spam box..?

I think my terminology could have been better to start with.

I have 3 accounts in my test group (Owner, Mod & Member). I uploaded a folder and files from my Owner account. A moderator notification email was received by my Moderator account listing the files that had been uploaded (all good). No moderator notification email was received at my Owner account because notifications to the person performing the action are now suppressed (all good).  No message was generated in the archive with a #file-notice hashtag so nothing could be sent to my member account even though I had the Notify Member checkbox ticked (#bug).

I have just deleted a previous test folder and added a new "ditto", and separately added a file to the latter.

All email notifications worked as expected, both "personal" and Group.

Different test group, of course...

Ah, the 4th checkbox only appears when the 3rd one is checked!  Hmm!   This is a different approach to the First Message Also checkbox on a member's subscription page where the checkbox is visible but not available until Following Only is selected. At least you can see that an option is possible that way but on the Guidelines Notice you can't.  Consistency?

Turns out that the bug is not only not being able to add a reminder to an existing event but also you can't remove a reminder from an event either. Looks like the only way to workaround any desired change in either adding or deleting a reminder is to delete the whole event and create it again with or without the reminder.

This is very unfortunate as all aspects of the event - description, contact person info, etc. need to be reentered when you recreate the "new"/old event.

The Group Guidelines member notice does not have an option to send it as a Special Notice so what exactly is being 'sync'ed in this case?

Actually, it does.  4th checkbox is "Send monthly as special".  I'm a bit confused as well, because it's possible to not have that checked, but still set the hashtag #guidelines-notice to Special.  Maybe that's what this sync does, but I hope Mark will clarify it.
