But the more recent requests include not having to go through the trouble of creating another subscription in order to see a non-moderator view of the group. I've had several non-mod accounts to view my groups for years, but rarely use them because I've actually got to go into those email addresses (which I barely remember the passwords for), etc. Would be much better to have a "view as non-moderator" feature.

Changes to the site this week:

• BUGFIX: In some instances, all day events were displayed on the calendar as lasting a day longer than scheduled. Also, all all day events were displayed with a time, which didn't make sense.
• BUGFIX: In some instances with a repeating event, it was not possible to check the 'Send Notice To Group When Event Happens' checkbox and have it saved properly.
• BUGFIX: Direct add activity log entries were not showing up in the member's activity log section. This fix only applies to new log entries; previous direct adds will still not show up in the member's activity log.
• NEW: For domains hosted by Mimecast: if a message from one of those domains is sent to another user on that same domain, we now re-write the From line, to hopefully stop tripping a bounce.
• CHANGE: Show the updated date in the member notices view instead of the created date.
• API: Many navigation improvements and other cleanups of the API docs.
• CHANGE: All links in messages now open in new tabs.
• CHANGE: Default sort order for columns is a-z, or largest to smallest, or most recent to oldest, as appropriate.
• BUGFIX: For certain replies to messages that already contained a signature, we would display both signatures outside of the collapsed text when we should only display the last signature.
• BUGFIX: For certain HTML replies to messages, we would not show the signature outside of the collapsed text.
• BUGFIX: In certain situations, when doing a bulk remove of members, we would report 'Other Error' for someone who was not a subscriber.
• API: The sidebar for the api docs is now scrollable for easier navigation.
• API: New /getevents endpoint.
• CHANGE: Various feed view improvements to hashtags and events.

This is a very common request with a relatively simple solution. Create another subscription to the group as a mere mortal using another account (email address). This becomes your test account. As you said, you have already considered that.

However, even better, create another test group specifically for playing around, again using multiple accounts with differing permissions to test out theories, etc. This has the advantage of not filling up the real group with test messages. Likewise, you can test out settings changes without fear of making a mess on the live group.

Hmmm. Now you've got me thinking that the only problem is that I'm seeing a

it's like to be a mere mortal and I'm assuming that the users have the ability to
modify files I've uploaded. What you're telling me is that they don't. So this

It's the digit that is stored as part of their record in the group database.  If you export your members list, you'll see them there.  "Email Delivery(0=Single,1=Plain Digest,2=Special,3=None,4=Full Digest,5=Summary)"

I am still confused on what the "Delivery" sort is based on. Possibly last character of string? For example, when clicking on the Delivery column, I see the order as follows: Single / Special / No Email / Full Digest / Summary

I've long been asking for the option of members being able to upload files but they need moderator approval before the files are visible to members. Would make life so very much easier for my main group.

J_Catlady - we kind of addressed that in an equine group by making a subgroup where each member can make a folder for their own animal (horse) and upload labs and an indepth case history.  They're them required to set up a signature which incluides the link to their folder as there are several hundred folders.  I suppose you might not want them adding cute kitty photos, etc.; with the horses some photos are useful.

Members always defaults to Joined/Applied (unrestricted/restricted groups): newest - oldest
no matter which view (Display Name, Email, Delivery, or Joined/Applied) or sort order was last chosen.

Then clicking on Display Name, Email, or Delivery now yields A-Z sort;
and clicking on Joined/Applied:
if currently sorted, yields the reverse
if currently not sorted, yields newest - oldest.

Having it remember last view and sort would be preferred, but this is fine for me.

I’ve requested/suggested the same thing in the past. It would make my life a lot easier. I’d like to allow group members to upload their own cats’ lab reports, but not touch our informational / educational files, etc.

Hi - first time offering a suggestion, please be gentle.

I find myself wanting a little rw permission control in the files section of our group. File-level granularity would be great,
but I could probably live with folder/directory-level control. Has the question simply never come up, or is there a reason
for not implementing it?
