Re: New feature: donations
Hey, maybe it was a typo and was supposed to be 2%, not 20%?

PayPal takes 2.9% + 30 cents for normal stuff. for nonprofits it's 2.2% + 30 cents.
this would be the charges for normal customers
Nonprofit would be .7% less cut for PayPal
GoFundMe starts at 10% and Mightycause (ex Razoo) was only 6% last I checked. Possibly I missed something from Mark? - Bob Bellizzi Founder, Fuchs Friends ®

Re: New feature: donations
It sounded steep to me at first, until I realized that (presumably?) most of the donations will probably be very small amounts. So, like, Paypal takes much less than 20%, but presumably from reasonably large amounts, consisting of payment for services, so their cut amounts to more than a few cents. If groups.io were to take the 3 or 4 % (I forget which) that Paypal takes, it would probably amount to virtually nothing.

New feature: donations
Hi All, I have just rolled out the ability for premium groups to request donations from their members. There's a new Donations tab under the Admin sidebar menu, where you can create and manage donation requests. Groups that have open donation requests will see a new Donations tab in the normal group sidebar where members can view open donation requests. Here is the text you see when you go to the Admin Donations page for the first time:
Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvements. Thanks, Mark

Auto-Converting Prefixs to Hastags
Some message of my group (old Y!G…) use prefix for hashtag to the subject.
For example "[Proxy] Victory Force Blog Site - Samurai Warrior Heroes" could convert to "Victory Force Blog Site - Samurai Warrior Heroes #Proxy" Possibility to have function to automaticaly change it?

This is what we've included:
"This is where Members add or update their info - some cells are required and in others it is up to the individual to decide. To sort a column, just click its heading - magic, or what?! To scroll across the page, select any cell and use the cursor keys to move to more cells. Tablet users can just swipe! New Members:

You can include your own instructions at the top of the db table; just edit the Description field. See attached jpg.

Database instructions - wishlist
Milt Baker
When one opens a Groups.io database, there are no instructions at the top telling a member how to add a new record. That seems to have kept a lot of our members from adding to the databases in the groups I moderate. Moreover, the "Add Row" button isn't intuitive to non-programmers and it in the wrong location.
Recommendation - Add the following to the Groups.io wishlist: Create a new "Add New Record" button at the top of the database to replace the current "Add Row" button at the bottom of the database. To illustrate the problem, following is an exchange with one of my new members on the subject. Thanks, Milt Baker, owner/chief moderator, Nordhavn Owners Group (NOG)

So I shall add my 30 years understanding and see if that assists. regards davew On Wed, Apr 17, 2019 at 08:44 AM, Leeni wrote: Why the messages are no use as it stands right now to graphic type groups?
(Maybe this is a bug)
When a graphic or Paint Shop Pro tube is sent in a message and then it is saved by email, the name of the tube or graphic is associated with the tube.
A valid graphic file, if not mutilated or distorted should be visible. Note: TIF/ TIFF are a Graphic Standard format used by archivists and collections everywhere, but do not display within web browsers. Therefore they have to be downloaded to obtain satisfaction. Good people add a similar jpg/jpeg to show the article in question, but it will be at a much reduced resolution. Example attachment #1 Fresh Bread PNG Clip art 26751
When the same tube is saved from the message area it is given a number like 0, 0(1), etc. So when members go to save these graphics from the message area, they do not have the name of the image.
Example #2 calls the image 0
They can't even saved correctly. Now if you were to save the images from the message area for all of the messages you would get multiple images named 0, some with 0 (1), some with 0 (2) if they were all in the same message. Now you go to another message and save the 1 graphic there you would get 0 all over again. ≠≠≠

Yes it did. But did you name it or omit a name to prove a point? See answer above. ≠≠≠

Hi Shal,
I believe your suggestion would resolve the issue for most of the non-technical people who now believe their group moderator unsubscribed them. Those who look at the actual return address probable are savvy enough to understand what happened. My suggestion would be:Ken “Some people occasionally stumble across the truth.
