Yes, it goes "to" the person that requested the subscription but there's no way to embed the requesting email in the body of the message.  I can see that a feature like this would be of value to personalize the body of the message.  Many mailing services (mailchimp comes to mind) support that feature.  Admittedly, the only piece of data available for insertion is the email address so it's of limited value.  (Might be useful if the requester receives email from multiple addresses in their inbox.)
It's a "nice to have" in my opinion.

I would also like to add my voice to those wishing to have the dates shown in something other than standard American. With Groups io becoming more international by the day, the international format would seem a good idea if a single format is easiest to code. I’m not too bothered about having it everywhere but I would like the date format in the database so my date column recognises the numbers I enter there as a date and so can be searchable.

I don't understand this request. Like all member notices, the Pending Subscription notice goes TO the person requesting the subscription.

The invitation already does include the name of the person sending the invitation. Which other member notices are you suggesting adding this information to?

If you have the pictures off group, there are various programs that will do a bulk resize - I use Faststone Image Resizer, can set it going with suitable settings, and have a cuppa while it does its stuff. You may want to change image format (to jpg/whatever) or (for jpgs) reduce the quality setting at the same time.

Patty, we selected in the new Groups.io the size that would import before the transfer.
The transfer did work for some Y! Members albums but not all.

These two items helped control the import photo sizes.  7GBs of photos is a lot to go through.

Tell your member to look at the message footer next time he/she receives a reminder. There should be a link to Mute (or Unfollow) that hashtag. The link will take him/her to the web site to confirm, then presto: no more calendar reminders.

I'm sure the programming effort is not the issue.

No doubt Mark is concerned with the potential for abuse, since by design Invitations can be sent to addresses that are not already a part of your group. If the entire message content were written by the group owner/mod then the invitation feature would be a very attractive tool for spammers and scammers of all sorts.

So the boilerplate is there to make the Invitations less attractive to spammers, and to give the recipient a clear understanding of what the message is about.

Obviously, it doesn't serve the latter function for those who don't speak English. But the solution to that I'm sure is more likely to come with some overall effort to provide language-specific site text.

Yep Now ti works. I just hit reload but will clearn the cache from my chrome anyway at some point probably when I run my clean up program as it does all of that for me.

I'm stll getting the anti-phishing warning/block from Norton. But only on my Windows 10 machine. On Android and Windows Vista machines, no problem. I've white-listed groups.io in my Norton application, cleared the cache (twice), and still no go. Any other recommendations? Or just wait until Norton straightens out their information? Or is this belong in the GroupManagersForum?

Not that I object to seeing cat pics, but this will be very helpful! :-)
