Re: Not getting copies of messages I sent to my group
Trish,
She always checks her spam folder.Don't know what to tell you. Yahoo Groups broke their bounce history mechanism with the Neo roll-out, so there's no evidence of what happened for an intermittent delivery failure. At least the Email Delivery History in Groups.io Subscription pages work, so if she encounters a problem here there's a chance of figuring out what went wrong. -- Shal

You can now set your own default. And you can change at the time that you're replying, if you want.
Perhaps, depends what. I want to avoid scenarios where it could end up looking like a Geocities or old Myspace page. That's too much customization. Mark

Re: Post preference, show message history, emoji
Took me a few minutes to find Post Preference. For others looking, it's at Profile, Edit Profile, 4th box down and applies to all groups you belong to. One thing I noticed: If I type something before clicking Show Message History, it replaces my typing with the message. Not a big thing since I'd normally click it first, but not quite what I'd expect - inserting at the cursor.
Thanks, Duane

Hiccup?
I got a couple of messages from the beta group last night, at 8:20 and 8:33 CST, even though I have No Email chosen. One showed as being to me with a CC: to the group, the other was the opposite. Nothing since. I can't be sure, but it looked like I was following the thread, even though I've never chosen that. Was there a hiccup in the system?
Thanks, Duane

Re: Not getting copies of messages I sent to my group
Trish,
For my group this isn't a want, it's a definite need. My users willTo be clear, Groups.io is sending their own posts back. Whether they can see the returned messages in their email service depends on the service. For Gmail not, usually, but there's a lot of confusion out there about work-arounds to the problem. I don't know about Wiggio, but the same issue is a perennial topic in Yahoo Groups help lists. I think for us what would work best is to have it as the ability to setI disagree. The issue email service specific not group specific; so the tools to resolve it belong with the member's profile or subscription not the group settings. Also, another user in my test group is on gmail and she's getting copiesIt is caused by Gmail, and some other services. But there are various ways to get around it and so some people report that they do get copies back. Much more detail is needed to understand the situation. Another tester is on AOL and she seems to be getting her messages backShe should look in her spam folder for the occasionally not. AOL and Yahoo Mail are both prone to putting list messages in spam, especially when the From address is your own. -- Shal

Re: The Biggest Deal Breaker -- Database

Judy F.
I don’t know if this is a bug or not, but whenever an edited message comes through, I check to see what the change was. In this case Brenda did some spacing corrections. Should that spacing be shown ? I’m not asking that it should, just didn’t know if the intent was to show everything that was edited. I did read the comment so that’s how I knew what the change was.

It's been the one major thing we've been unable to find in any other alternative to Yahoo Groups. Brenda

Duane,
Exactly the same here. There are occasions when I have to post in an official capacity, but prefer to contribute as just another member most of the time. Regards, Robert. The signature option is on the TODO list. Check https://trello.com/b/qu3WgzVq/beta on the Profiles list under the Expanded Profiles card.
"About Me" might be a useful option for some folks. I doubt I'd ever use it though. Duane

Group member signatures feature?
Is there currently a feature that allows a member to set up a default signature that gets sent to the group whenever they send a message? If not, can one be added as an option? Maybe in the profile screen? I think it might be useful. Maybe also an "About Me" section in the profile? Thanks Trish
