Don't know what to tell you. Yahoo Groups broke their bounce history mechanism with the Neo roll-out, so there's no evidence of what happened for an intermittent delivery failure.

At least the Email Delivery History in Groups.io Subscription pages work, so if she encounters a problem here there's a chance of figuring out what went wrong.

You can now set your own default. And you can change at the time that you're replying, if you want.

Perhaps, depends what. I want to avoid scenarios where it could end up looking like a Geocities or old Myspace page. That's too much customization.

Took me a few minutes to find Post Preference. For others looking, it's at Profile, Edit Profile, 4th box down and applies to all groups you belong to. One thing I noticed: If I type something before clicking Show Message History, it replaces my typing with the message. Not a big thing since I'd normally click it first, but not quite what I'd expect - inserting at the cursor.

I just pushed a few updates:

• There's a new user preference, Post Preference, where you can specify your default post/reply box (HTML, Markdown, Plain).
• For Markdown and Plain reply boxes, there's a new Show Message History button, that works similarly to how Y! Groups' button works, to insert the quoted message in the reply box. Figuring out replies and how to quote them is not easy, which is why this is currently not enabled for HTML replies, which are much more difficult. It uses a simple algorithm right now, which generally works for plain text and markdown. I will improve it over time.
• Emoji are now enabled for Markdown messages . You can see the full list of emoji at Emoji Cheat Sheet.

I got a couple of messages from the beta group last night, at 8:20 and 8:33 CST, even though I have No Email chosen. One showed as being to me with a CC: to the group, the other was the opposite. Nothing since. I can't be sure, but it looked like I was following the thread, even though I've never chosen that. Was there a hiccup in the system?

For my group this isn't a want, it's a definite need. My users will
freak if they don't get a confirmation their message went through to the
group. It's one of the reasons we're looking to migrate off of Wiggio.

To be clear, Groups.io is sending their own posts back. Whether they can see the returned messages in their email service depends on the service. For Gmail not, usually, but there's a lot of confusion out there about work-arounds to the problem.

I don't know about Wiggio, but the same issue is a perennial topic in Yahoo Groups help lists.

I think for us what would work best is to have it as the ability to set
it as a group setting with the option for individual members to opt out
if desired.

I disagree. The issue email service specific not group specific; so the tools to resolve it belong with the member's profile or subscription not the group settings.

Also, another user in my test group is on gmail and she's getting copies
of her messages. So people who are thinking this is being caused solely
by gmail, I don't think that's it.

It is caused by Gmail, and some other services. But there are various ways to get around it and so some people report that they do get copies back. Much more detail is needed to understand the situation.

Another tester is on AOL and she seems to be getting her messages back
most of the time but occasionally not.

She should look in her spam folder for the occasionally not. AOL and Yahoo Mail are both prone to putting list messages in spam, especially when the From address is your own.

My group owner solved the problem by creating an
email that was the name of the group owner, no name
attached.

Even Classic didn't have that option at first!

The signature option is on the TODO list. Check https://trello.com/b/qu3WgzVq/beta on the Profiles list under the Expanded Profiles card.

"About Me" might be a useful option for some folks. I doubt I'd ever use it though.
