I ran into a situation today where this feature would be very useful.  In my case, I'd want to just set the expiration date for each member, regardless of how they got into the group.  For our use, we'd only need a month and year, but I can see where an exact day might be needed.

Extra info:  It's for a club where expiration dates vary for each member at the end of a month.  If someone renews, I update for them.  Right now, I use a spreadsheet on my pc, but it would be very handy to have a reminder, and expiration removal if needed, be handled automatically.  Not a major problem though since we've only got about 30 members.
