I recently added a batch of new members to my PTA group (thanks for the timely approval!). That is a primary group which has subgroups.

In the body of the notification the new members received only the primary alias was given, which I think is insufficient. For groups with subgroups the subdomain name should be shown as well. For example:

Subject: You have been added to the members@example.groups.io email group
Date: Fri, 12 Aug 2016 06:40:31 -0700

Hello Shalf W Farley,

You have been added by the moderators to their Groups.io group members
...

I recommend that the group name be shown there as "members@example" for clarity and for consistency with the usage in the rest of the message.
