Re: Notification sound and delayed menu option. #Android

Thomas Gruber

Hi Martyn,
I have almost the same setup here - OnePlus 6 with OxygenOS V 10.3.11 - but I don’t see any option to choose the notification sound at all. Are you running generic Android on your phone, with different options?
I see the same effect about default and miscellaneous notifications by the way.

Not sure if anyone else can replicate this or if it's just a quirk of my setup.
I like to change the default notification sound so every app is different so (understandable) after up grading to a new version it loses my settings and I simply change it back...... except I can't until after I have received my first message.
There are two notification menu items, "Default" & "Miscellaneous" the default one is there all the time but doesn't seem to be the one used because if I change it to something different it still plays the other system default sound, once I've received a message the miscellaneous menu appears and I'm able to set my sound which IS the sound used by this app.
I'm on a ONE+6 running Android 10.4

Hmm, nothing should have changed with that. I released build 31 on Wednesday; I didn't announce it because it just has some fixes for chat. Could you try that build and see if it fixes things?

Thanks,

Hi Mark,

When i start the app (build 30), it only shows the first 20 groups now and swiping up does not add to the list. I need to tap the Groups.io icon to be able to see a full list.

I wonder if that is a side-effect of a fix that Mark put in following my report that the voting options were still shown when the poll was closed.

There is also no menu option to create a new poll and I have raised that as a separate bug (just waiting for it to be approved before it appears on the archive)

I just tried to vote in a poll, but there was no indication that I had voted like a “thanks for voting” screen.  I ended up clicking on the view results and saw that it had recorded my vote.

This first photo is a screenshot from the app on my iPhone. The second is from my desktop web browser. You can see that the photo is missing from the first but appears in the second. (This is the current beta version of the iOS app.)

Hi All,

I just pushed a new build of the app, build 30. It fixes the problems with polls raised last week.

Thanks,
Mark
