RSVP link does not take you to the calendar event #bug #Android

Andy Wedge

Hi Mark,

when viewing a #cal-invite message for an RSVP event, clicking/tapping on the link that says 'Click here to RSVP' only takes me to the current calendar month rather the specific event.

Applying custom range date filter causes formatting issues #Android #bug

Andy Wedge

Hi Mark,

after applying a custom date range to filter messages I got the following screen:

The search field is not shown and the Tools button is partially obscured by the header.
The Settings icon is not shown in the top right corner because the page width is not set correctly - you need to scroll right to see it.

When this happens, going back to the Groups screen I get the limit of 20 groups again and the first group icon is partially hidden behind the header.  I have to clear the application cache as I demonstrated in a previous video in order to resolve the display issues.

Regards
Andy

Re: Using the app? #misc

I am using it, primarily for moderating my groups (approving memberships and messages). Anything more elaborate and use the web interface and handle sending/receiving via email.

Subject: [app] Using the app? #misc

Hi All,

Can you let me know if you are using the app on a regular basis? If not,
are there any missing features preventing your using it? I'm trying to
gauge how close to release it is.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,. I only installed the app yesterday, but am now using it in place of the website. So far it has worked very well.

Thanks and regards,
Colin

Edited

For me it's my primary source. So 20+ times per day.
Seems to be fairly stable now.

Two things I do after an update are:
- Change the notification sound from the android default.
- Disable battery optimisation. Otherwise it can be quite delayed in giving notifications.

Sometimes even with this I get the email several minutes before the app notifies me but most of the time the app is first.

Yes, the back button returns to the correct month n the calendar now. Thanks.

I didn't see where you edited an event? Where in the video was that?
Each time I hit the Edit button after displaying event details (then I scrolled to the bottom and hit the Back button).

Most of it seems to be OK. There's an issue returning to the wrong month after an edit and also after editing something other than the first occurrence of a repeating event. I've creating a short video showing the issues and I'll send you a link off-list for that.

Thanks for the video. I've fixed the problem with the Back button. I didn't see where you edited an event? Where in the video was that?

Thanks for sending this. I had misunderstood you. The issue was that the text entry field for the chat page was expanding under the mobile footer as you typed multiple lines in the same chat message.

I've limited the height of the chat text field to 3 lines, which is probably a good idea anyways, and that fixes this problem.

Thanks,

This problem still exists.

I messed up with that build and did not include the fix. I've just pushed build 29 which does have that fix.
Yes, all good in Build 29.

Thanks

Android has to update manually by going to the Play store is there a place within the online groups that I could find out which version we are working with so I would know to go to the Google Play and update my beta
