Yes this is the issue I'm having, but it works fine on my tablet on the previous version 19.
Having played with it a bit today there's a few instances of this error throughout the app with various requests.

Hi Mark,

When I go to the Settings (gear cog) screen and then select Account, I get an initial display of the Login page but navigating to anything after that results in the following error:

Using Reload does not resolve the issue.

Ok, just updated to version 20 and have the following new issues:
-Can't send messages, it just sits and hangs.
-In my account when trying to turn on notifications it comes up with error saying "connection refused, no connection to localhost"
-It does the same thing on trying to use the admin menu.

After Force stopping the app and clearing app & cached data I've re-run my previous tests. All issues described above appear to be resolved apart from the scrolling on the member list filters screen where the header and footer bars still get pushed part way off the screen and I can't scroll to the bottom of the filters page to see the Apply button after a filter has already been applied.

Yes, the email address is the gating criteria. I do not know why it wouldn't work for you on your S4.

I have added your melby007@... address to the list. If that's not the email address you use with Google, email that to me off-list and I'll add that email address.

Thanks,

Hi , still get this message

App not available for this account

Your account hasn't yet been invited to participate in this app's internal testing programme.

If you've been invited to become a tester, make sure that you're signed in to the account that was invited to the testing programme. If you've been invited to a Google Group as part of the programme, make sure that you've joined the Group.

Back button is still not working in build 16 on my Samsung Note 9.

Mark emailed me a link for the new beta build 16. The destination looked exactly the same as I've been getting but I did get the build 16 version instead of the old version
A little confused as to why that happened but at least we're running okay now.

Thanks for advice and tips.

This is apparently causing confusion for those that used the earlier app.  Is there a way to remove the earlier version link from the Play Store without creating a problem with the new one?

I've just paused the test of the old app. I hope that will help.

Thanks,
Mark

Hank, that's the correct link; I'll paste a copy here anyway :-) :

For what it's worth I seem to have had to uninstall & reinstall a couple of times (Galaxy S20 / Android 11) before I got the version that displayed 'Build 16' on the menu. I'm wondering if it was a local cache thing on my 'phone.

Build 16 Issues #bug #Android #fixed

Hi Mark,

After some delay (ref #462), I was eventually able to download and install Build 16 and verified this on the Account/Settings screen.  I have found the following issues:

After going to the member list for my group and applying a filter the buttons at the top of the display are partially hidden by the header:

Tapping on the Account/Settings icon at this point does not show the build number:

Tapping the member list filter icon shows the filter list but it's not possible to scroll down and see the Apply button. When scrolling on that page the header and footer bars move partially off the screen:

<SNIP>

Tapping the Groups.io icon in the header takes me back the Groups list where the first group icon is partially hidden behind the header. Only the first 20 groups are listed and swiping up at the bottom of the list does not load more data:

Tapping the groups.io Icon again did not help to give me a full list of my groups so I logged out via the Account/Setting screen so see if another login would resolve the issue.  On the login screen, the description for account/email address field is hidden behind the header:

After logging in again, the icon of the first group is still behind the header bar, the list is limited to 20 groups and cannot be refreshed and the build number is not displayed on the Account/Settings screen.

I need to use the Android app settings and Force Stop the app in order be able to login again and see a full list of my groups,

Regards
Andy

Nobody sends the link so I know I am in the right place. I'd appreciate the link if it is different from where I show below.

If you were looking at the images in my previous message, what is different from where any of you go?
